Vinted and China Sourcing: Keep Provenance and Condition Evidence

Research an item, its purchase record and intended use before deciding whether it belongs in a resale workflow.

A product discovered through a China sourcing spreadsheet is not automatically suitable for resale on Vinted. Treat sourcing and marketplace listing as separate decisions. Check the current marketplace rules for your country and account before making a commercial purchase.

Keep a clear record

  • Retain the source invoice and any provenance evidence.
  • Record the condition of the actual unit and its photographs.
  • Describe defects, alterations and included accessories accurately.
  • Confirm which statements about brand or authenticity you can substantiate.

Do not turn an uncertain supplier claim into a definitive resale description. A wholesale label or “1:1” phrase does not establish authenticity. If you cannot support a material claim about an item, resolve it before sourcing for resale.

Budget for the complete purchase

Compare delivered cost, unsold inventory and after-sales responsibilities. A low source price alone does not establish a profitable or permitted resale opportunity. This article provides a research checklist, not a statement of Vinted's current policies.
